




In September, employees of the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve started again to conduct lessons for children of the local kindergartens within the framework of the program “See the Museum!” again. In all, 85 meetings with preschool kids have been already held in 2014. They leant about the traditions of tea-drinking and the Maslenitsa celebrations, the Vologda lace, the folk costume, the use of wool, and methods of felt-boots making. The children attended the exhibitions “Horse. Hobbyhorse. Pony”, “Such Different Dolls”, “Military Valour of Centuries”, went to the Open Storage of Ceramics. Besides, the tour “Architectural Ensemble of the Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery” was conducted for them. They were interested in making a post card in the paper mosaic technique, souvenir felt-boots, and a solar symbol. The museum employees also presented a puppet show for the kids during the Easter week and arranged playing programs. The work with the kindergartens is going on. Soon children will join in new interesting meetings.
