Mikhail Nikolaevich Sharomazov was born in 1958. In 1990 he graduated from Leningrad institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture by the name of I.E.Repin, the faculty of theory and history of art. The length of his work is 35 years including 22 years of museum work. M.N.Sharomazov worked in the State museum of Art of the Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic (Kishinev) in 1986. Since September, 1, 1987 till December 1989 he worked in the Kirillo-Belozersky museum as the scientific worker of the department of the Old Russian art. Then he worked in the museum of Frescoes of Dionysius as the assistant director of scientific work and the head of the exhibition department. In October, 1 he was appointed the Director of the Kirillo-Belozersky museum-reserve.
M.N.Sharomazov is the author of many scientific works.
In 1998 he was awarded the Diploma of the Governor of Vologda region for contribution to development of the museum and culture. In 2007 M.N.Sharomazov was also awarded The State Prize of Vologda region for his work concerning the preservation, studying and popularization of the historic-cultural heritage.
