Two festive events will be held in the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve on August 14 and 15. Both of them are well-known to residents and guests of Kirillov - the Art Festival “The Property of Republic” and a honey fair. The program will be opened with a special ceremony in the New Town on July 14 at noon. The fair will be open during two days.
Meetings with famous documentary film makers will be held within the framework of the Art Festival on July 14. They will present a new film about some heroes who were natives of the Vologda region. Besides, the book of film director Yuri Polovnikov titled “Let Me Hug the Time” will be presented in the museum on this day.
The fair on July 15 will be open from 10 a.m. Admission is free. A concert on the main stage will begin at noon. Talents of Kirillov will take part in it. Besides, guests will be able to enjoy performances of the Song, Music and Dance Ensemble under the direction of Honoured Artist of Russia Yuri Tsepelev. The highlight of the festival will be participation of button accordion players and musicians from Belozersk and story-teller Marimyana. Several interactive grounds will be open for children: “Visiting the Story-Teller”, “Folk Tin Whistle”, “Potter’s Wheel”. A ticket for the holiday will cost 100 rubles for adults and 50 rubles for pensioners. Admission for kids is free.
Boris Plotnikov, famous Russian actor of cinema and theatre, People’s Artist of Russia, will become a distinguished guest of the Art Festival. Spectators know him very well thanks to the role of Dr. Bormental in the film “Heart of a Dog”. He will present the program “Hello, Russia, My Motherland” based on the creative work of Nikolay Rubtsov in Kirillov. Guitarist Vladimir Markushevich (he plays the seven-string guitar) who is the laureate of the international contest will take part in the event. Admission is free.

The museum invites everybody to join in the fair. It is a wonderful chance to sell not only your own bee-keeping produce, but also various home-made preserves – jam, stewed fruit, and so on.
