The display “Soul of the North in Pottery of Tatiana Chistyakova” was opened in the Vologda Regional Picture Gallery. It presents ceramics, paintings and drawings from the holdings of the gallery, the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Preserve, the Vologda State Museum-Preserve and the creative workshop of the artist Tatiana Chistyakova.
Local musician Viktor Kuznetsov performed the song “I Love You, Life” at the beginning of the opening ceremony of the exhibition. It reflected the carrier of Russia’s Honoured Artist Tatiana Chistyakova. Then her friends and colleagues had a chance to congratulate the master.
Addressing the audience, Mikhail Sharomazov, director of the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve, noted that a part of the displayed works had been made in the village of Ferapontovo. He told the following about the artist herself, “I have been taking part in the opening ceremonies of Tatiana Chistyakova’s exhibitions not for the first time. Every time I see warmth and love in the eyes of those people who attend these events. She is more than a favourite artist. In her works, we can see our time and our world in which we developed and which we would leave to those who would be after us”.
The display “Soul of the North in Pottery of Tatiana Chistyakova” will be open till June 21.
