The Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve holds the action “Let Us Never Forget” marking the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War. First events are scheduled for May 7.
The exhibition “Wartime Letters and Photographs” will be opened in the conference hall at 15:00. The museum collection contains over 250 letters written during the Great Patriotic War. 45 of them were displayed in the Museum of Town and District History in 2013. We continue exhibiting the letters written by the natives of the Kirillov district during the war on this jubilee year. They will be supplemented with photographs. Visitors of the display will be able to see unique documents that give a chance to look at the war through the eyes of its participants.
After the opening ceremony of the exhibition, guests of the museum will be able to enjoy the concert program of Elena Antonova – local performer singing songs of various genres. She regularly takes part in different concerts on the Russian grounds as a member of the Cossack Ensemble “Silver Horseshoe”. Elena Antonova’s solo programs are very popular with residents of Kirillov. Guests of the town also appreciate her talent.
