Kirillov has been first included into the list of cities and towns participating in the Moscow Easter Festival under the direction of famous conductor Valery Gergiev. The ensemble “Russian Rhapsody” will perform for residents and guests of the town in the conference hall of the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum on April 22. The concert program “Popular Prints” is based on the Russian epics and fairy tales and contains elements of sand animation. Admission is free. The age category is 5+.
The 14th Easter Festival was opened in Moscow on April 12. This year it is being held on the occasion of two dates: the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 175th anniversary of birth of the great Russian composer Pyotr Tchaikovsky. Its program consists of about 50 concerts in various cities of Russia. The festival will be concluded with an open air concert at Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow on the Victory Day.
