Orthodox believers celebrated Easter – one of the main church holidays - on Sunday, April 12. A large spring event – the Fourth Easter Festival “Low Sunday” - started in the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve on that day. It was opened with the concert program “My Russia – My Native Corner”. Olga and Lyubov Yemelicheva, famous singer-songwriters from Kirillov, performed for guests. They also recited the verse they had written themselves. Young talents of the town - Varya Makina, Maxim Savin, Seryozha Sirotkin, Daniil Sokolov - participated in the concert as well. Marina Sergeeva, Natalya Golubeva and Angelina Gorbunova accompanied them. Spectators liked the performances very much; they cheered the artists and thanked all participants and organizers.
Besides, the creative workshop was opened in the parvis of the Refectory on that day. Children and their parents made interesting and unusual Easter articles during several master-classes.
The next event of the Fourth Easter Festival “Low Sunday” will take place tomorrow, on April 14. A meeting with the writer Pavel Basinsky will begin in the conference hall of the museum at 15:00. A ticket costs 50 rubles; admission for children, students and pensioners is free.
