The seminar for the members of the Presidium of the Women’s District Council and primary organizations of the Kirillov municipal district took place in the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve yesterday, on March 3, on the threshold of the Women’s Day celebrated on March 8.
Ilya Smirnov, deputy director of the museum and chairman of the Kirillov Deputies’ Council, greeted the women who gathered in the conference hall. He congratulated them on the forthcoming holiday underlining their significant role in the modern society. A concert titled “Love, Spring and Music” was given within the framework of the event. It was prepared by the employees of the District Cultural Centre and timed to the International Women’s Day.
Primary organizations of the female councils from five rural settlements of the Kirillov district – Talitsy, Goritsy, Nikolsky Torzhok, Ferapontovo and Lipovskoye – participated in the seminar. Their representatives discussed the main directions of work of the Women’s District Council in 2015.
Besides, they saw Arkady Polyakov’s exhibition “Opening the World” and joined in the lesson conducted by the employees of the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve. The women enjoyed making a snow-white angel using beads, a mascot doll and flowers of multi-coloured paper. The event was concluded with a tea party.
