An exhibition marking the 70th anniversary of the Soviet people’s victory in the Great Patriotic War is being prepared in the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve now. It depends on you, residents of Kirillov and the Kirillov district, what it will be. The museum invites you to take an active part in its staging.
There were no combat actions in the Kirillov district, but every family has its own heroes. Those who have walked through half of Europe to come off with flying colours. Those who have gone to the front for good. Those who lie in the communal graves. Those about whom we don’t have any information since the 1940s. Those who worked in the rear round the clock without sparing themselves.
Photographs and personal things of your relatives, wartime letters, various documents of the Great Patriotic War – everything can be presented at the exhibition. Not only inhabitants of Kirillov, but also numerous guests of the town will be able to see them. The museum guarantees complete safety of your family relics handed over temporarily for the display.
Veterans who participated in the military actions, home front workers and children of war – those who have gone through the terrible years – leave us. But the precept “To Remember. To Be Proud” is handed down from generation to generation. Let’s continue following it and tell about our relatives and friends who have paid for the victory with their lives.
