The opening ceremony of the exhibition “Names” was held in the Art Department of the Vologda State Museum-Preserve on February 19. Paintings of Alexander Pesterev, verses of poetess Leta Yugai and distaffs from the collection of two museums are presented in two halls.
The project “Names” started in June 2014. The Museum of Dionisy’s Frescoes was the first venue for it. The distaffs from its collection became a part of this unusual display. In its turn, the Vologda State Museum-Preserve gave its exhibits for the project.
The following information was posted on the website www.vologdamuseum.ru:
The material of the display is united with the single philosophic perception of environment. The effects of lines, strokes, colour patches and rhymes of the lines create a peculiar melody, interlace in the incomprehensible balls of fire.
We can see unusual in usual and difficult in simple there. A canvas, a wooden surface of the distaff blades, a white sheet of paper are freaked with “paths” of the authors’ thoughts. They contain emotions of their spirits and a deep cosmic feeling of time. The exhibition brightly expresses the talents of unusual persons”.
The display will be open till April 8, 2015.
Address of the museum: 15 Sergey Orlov Street, Vologda, Vologda Kremlin.
