The festival titled “Winter Fortress” will be held in the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve on February 21. Events will take place on several grounds in the New Town. They are due to begin at noon.

GROUND “SNOWY TOWN”
A snow structure with an ice -run
An exhibition of snow figures “Cannons That Don’t Shoot”
A charitable lottery “Heart Memory” marking the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War
GROUND “Merry Outdoor festivities and knockabout comedies”
The Song and Dance Ensemble “Cherepovets”, the folk group “Silver Horseshoe” (Kirillov) and students of the Vologda Regional Training School of Culture will present their performances.
Ground “Heroic Might”
Exhibition performances of local sportsmen (arm wrestling, kettlebell lifting)
The fist-fighting group “Busa” (Cherepovets): fire logs, swords, balls, fire fist fighting, wall-to-wall fist fighting
Highlight of the program:
Wall-to-wall fist fighting between the teams of men and women
A tug-of-war contest with the use of a gigantic rope
The program of the festival will also include:
Tasting of hot pancakes with monastery tea, Russian folk games, amusement rides, master-classes, tours of the museum.
Participants of the charitable lottery “Heart Memory” will be able to get prizes made by local craftsmen and producers.
The entrance ticket costs 100 rubles for adults, 50 rubles – for pensioners and students. Admission for children (kids of preschool age and pupils) is free.
