The Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve is filled with children’s voices – New Year’s performances are taking place in the conference hall. The first festive event was held in the morning on December 24, pupils of the elementary school of Talitsy attended it. They were welcomed by the Fox and the Snowman.
The plot of the presented performance is simple and understandable for kids, but is rather original at the same time. The main characters are forest dwellers that are traditionally divided into kind and evil. The evil characters that are rather naughty than wicked are the Crafty Crow, the Cunning Cat, and the Silly Wild Boar. The Hares, the Owlet, the Bear and certainly Father Frost and Snow Maiden are on the side of good.
Children were interested in the performance. Besides, they were involved in it. At the end, when the good triumphed over the evil, the kids together with all forest dwellers sang and danced in a ring around the decorated New Year’s tree and played merry games. Girls recited poems to Father Frost and boys – to Snow Maiden. All of them received sweet presents.
Moreover, the pupils of Talitsy prepared their own gift and executed a song about Russian Father Frost.
The second New Year’s performance for children of the employees of the Vologda Retail Company took place in the evening. The festive events are going on. The Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve thanks students of the Vologda Regional Training School of Culture and their teachers V.L. Nuzhina and S.A. Chekushina for the arrangement of the marvelous holiday that gives wonderful spirits to children.
