The museum employees went to the psychoneurologic dispensary in Vognema to wish women living there a Happy New Year. M.N. Travnikova and N.V. Nevzorova acted as Father Frost and Snow Maiden.
This visit was planned beforehand. The museum staff participated in a special action gathering presents and sweets for the mental patients. Marina Nikolaevna and Natalya Vasilievna brought a “magic box” with various interesting games.
The event was held in the assembly hall of the hospital that was beautifully decorated for New Year’s Day. All festive traditions were carefully kept: congratulations of Father Frost and Snow Maiden, a circle dance around the New Year’s tree, songs, poems and gifts. The women were very glad to see the guests; they took pictures with the fairy characters, wished them a Happy New Year and thanked for the good spirits. All of them got presents. The museum employees didn’t forget about the mercy department all patients of which received sweet gifts.
This New Year’s performance became one more event held in the framework of the program “We are Together”. It has been implemented in the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve for many years.
