The final concert of the Moscow International Festival of Children’s Creative Activity “Native Shore” was held with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia in the Hall of Church Councils in the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour on November 15.
Sergey Belyashov, head of the Department of Cultural Events in the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve, was invited to this event. The museum has been successfully cooperating with the organizers of the “Native Shore” festival since 2010. Its participants have performed in Kirillov three times within this time. Artyom Polkovnikov, native of Kirillov, student of Vologda Institute of Law and Economy, represented the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve at the gala concert in Moscow. His song “Motherland” won the hearts of spectators and got an ovation. During the whole program, people could see views of the Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery and photos of the previous concerts of the festival in Kirillov on a screen installed on the stage.
