The Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve cooperated with the Goritsy secondary school within the framework of the program “Travelling Museum” from October to May. The museum employees held 36 events. They worked with fourth-formers according to the individual program on the basis of the local history group “Vologda Region – Pearl of Russia” organized by their form teacher Galina Kuritsyna.
Children were brought up to love their country and to be proud of their fellow-townsmen. They should be interested in and have a careful attitude to the historical and cultural values of the Vologda region. They should love the nature of the native region and acquire new knowledge. These are goals of this group.
The lessons on the following subjects were conducted for the fourth-formers once a month: “The Blue Main”, “White Lake. Belozersk”, “Northern Thebaid. From Belozersk to Kirillov. Cloisters of Humidity and Peace”, “Third Tsar’s Fortress”, “Northern Thebaid. The Wonderful Miracle in Russian Backwoods”, “National Park “Russian North”, “Down the Sukhona River”, “Cherepovets – City of Metallurgists”. They were organized in various forms: lectures, interactive tours, screening of films, tours. Children gained a lot of new knowledge and collected a file of photo materials. The final event was held during the tour of the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve.
