Employees of the Russian Museum (St. Petersburg) went to see the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve and the Museum of Dionisy’s Frescoes yesterday. They came to exchange experience within the framework of their tour of the museums located in different Russian cities. “Such trips are always useful for us. We get a lot of new information as Russia and its culture go beyond Nevsky Avenue or the Garden Ring, it is much wider. As a result of such tours, we clearly understand how this or that museum works”, said Natalya Kuleshova, deputy director of scientific and educational work in the Russian Museum. The guests were satisfied with the visit in spite of bad weather.
The museums of the capital certainly set the pace for their colleagues in the regions. But as their employees note – they apply knowledge gained during such trips of the country in their activity. The delegation of St. Petersburg also plans to visit Yaroslavl, Rostov the Great, Kostroma, Plyos and Vladimir.
