A lot of guests have visited the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve within the last few days. Among them there were TV journalists and people who were well-known in the country.
The delegation consisting of Olympic champions and prize-winners went to the museum on July 4: Galina Gorokhova, Galina Yermolaeva, Lidia Ivanova, Oksana Kazakova, Tatiana Kazankina, Yuri Kashkarov, Marina Koshevaya, Vladimir Kozlov, Vera Krasnova, Alexander Pashkov, Stanislav Petukhov, Nina Smoleeva, Lyudmila Titova. They got acquainted with the architectural ensemble of the monastery during the walking tour and then visited the permanent exhibition “Old Russian Art of 15th-17th Centuries” in the House of the Father Superior. The famous sportsmen were admired with what they had seen and recorded a video congratulation on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the museum foundation.
The film crew of the RBC channel worked in the Church of the Deposition of the Virgin’s Robe on the same day. According to the journalists, they are preparing materials for the program about the 18th-century wooden church in the Ukhtoma village (the Vashki district) that is falling into decay. The TV workers are interested in the Church of the Deposition of the Virgin’s Robe because it is a unique monument of wooden architecture that dates back to the 15th century.
Distinguished guests of the Fifth Festival of Young European Cinema “VOICES” (Vologda Independent Cinema from European Screens) that had been opened in Vologda the day before visited the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve on July 5. Svetlana Svetlichnaya, Soviet and Russianof theatre and cinema actress, Honoured Artist of the RSFSR, was also among the famous tourists. Spectators remember her, first of all, thanks to her role of Anna Sergeevna in the cult comedy of Leonid Gaidai “The Diamond Arm”.
