The concert program within the framework of the Tenth Moscow International Festival of Children’s Creative Activity “Native Shore” will be held in the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve in less than a week – on August 19. This event will take place in the museum not for the first time; its participants will come to the Kirillov district by ship.
This festival consists of the 10-day river cruise along the Russian cities. The children’s groups will perform on the motor ship and will give a number of gala concerts in the cities included into the itinerary. According to the organizers, the festival is held to develop and to bring up kids by means of art work. Its goals are to bring up younger generation to love their country, to acquaint them with orthodox traditions, way of life of small Russian towns, their culture and customs.
The concert in Kirillov titled “Children of Russia – To Heroes of Motherland” will begin the cultural events marking the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War. It will begin at 11:30, admission is free.
The list of participants includes: the dance theatre “Relax”, the choreographic group “Sworn Brother”, the song theatre “Talisman”, the show theatre “Capital”, the vocal group “Youth of Russia”, the choreographic group “Fortune Show”, the folk ensemble “Mlada”, and also children’s groups and singers from Kirillov Artyom Polkovnikov, Varvara Makina. The concert is directed by Igor Sklyar, professor of Moscow State University of Culture and Arts.
