The Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve stages displays both in its own exhibition halls and in other buildings. The exhibition “In the Heart of the Northern Thebaid” was open in the Belozersk Regional Local History Museum till September. Over 1000 residents and guests of the town went to see it.
The opening ceremony of the display of the ceramic artists T.A. Chistyakova and A.E. Sokolov titled “This Wonderful World of Ceramics” was held in the City Exhibition Hall of Petrozavodsk on September 16. The artists’ works are kept in many museums of Russia and private collections. Their exhibitions were staged in Vologda, Kirillov, Cherepovets and other cities of our country. 
L.M. Kharlapenkova, research officer of the Exposition and Exhibition Department, participated in the assemblage and opening ceremony of the display. Last year it was open in the Children’s Art School of Mirny in the Archangelsk region.
Two travelling exhibitions “50th Anniversary of Volga-Baltic Sea Waterway” and “From Anniversary to Anniversary. On Occasion of 90th Anniversary of Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve” were open at two polling stations of Kirillov on the Election Day, on September 14.
The display titled “Military Valour of Centuries” is open in the Vologda Tower of the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve during the summer tourist season for the fourth year running. It is organized by the members of the Tula City Youth Club of Historical Reconstruction and Fencing: armourer Vladimir Terekhov (Tula) and Oleg Lukyanov, head of the historical reenactment club “Svarga”, member of the council of the historical reenactment club “156th Regiment of NKVD”. The exhibition is very popular both with local residents and tourists visiting the museum. About 20 thousand people have already got acquainted with it within four years.
Museum visitors, including foreigners, were delighted with the display “Melody of Eternity” presenting the works of Russia’s Honoured Artist Galina Nikitichna Mamrovskaya that was opened in the Treasury Chamber in June. They expressed their impressions in the Guestbook: “I am trilled with your works. Thank you very much for the joy you give us”, “We admire professionalism and talent of the artist. We have got a lot of creative energy!”
The 90th anniversary of the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve is celebrated in 2014. The exhibition “From Anniversary to Anniversary. On Occasion of 90th Anniversary of Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve” marking this important event was opened in the parvis of the Refectory. It presents items from the recent acquisitions of the museum. You can find information about restoration of the Assumption Cathedral, preservation of the Dionisy’s frescoes in the Nativity of the Virgin Cathedral in the Ferapontov Monastery, the Museum of Town and District History and the museum complex “Tsypino” on the information stands.
At present employees of the Exposition and Exhibition Department, the Department of Visitor Relations and the Scientific Department are preparing new exhibitions “On Occasion of Centenary of First World War” and “I am in the Museum” (according to the results of the contest of children’s creative activity marking the 90th anniversary of the museum foundation).
