The Interregional Research and Practice Seminar “Topical Problems of Preservation of the RF Museum Fund” is being held in the Vologda State Museum-Preserve. It is organized by the Ministry of Culture of the RF for museum employees of the Northwestern Federal District. Arrangement and holding of the event are provided by the LLC “ECOCULTURE” (Moscow) with the assistance of the Department of Culture, Tourism and Cultural Heritage Preservation in the Vologda region.
Specialist of the Komi Republic, the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, the Archangelsk, the Vologda, the Kostroma, the Murmansk and the Yaroslavl regions are taking part in the seminar. Employees of the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve and the Museum of Dionisy’s Frescoes have also joined it.
Experts of the high professional level have been invited for the event. Among them there are heads and specialists of the Ministry of Culture of the RF, the Interior Ministry of Russia, leading museums of the country (the State Historical Museum, the State Hermitage, the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War), and the Manezh Central Exhibition Hall.
They plan to consider the following issues:
- topical problems of museology at the present stage and methods of their solution;
- experience of introduction of up-to-date technical and electronic means in the museum practice for provision of preservation and safety of the cultural values kept in the holdings of the museums of the Russian Federation;
- paperwork in case of assignment of museum articles for permanent and temporary use;
- application of information technologies in the accounting and storage work, legal and organizational aspects of museum work within the framework of the Federal Law ¹ 44 of April 5, 2013, “On the Contract System in the Sphere of Purchase of Goods, Work, Services For State and Municipal Needs”.
Specially prepared reports will be given, including “On Amendments to the Federal Law ¹ 54 of May 26, 1996, “On the Museum Fund of the RF in the Museums of the RF” regarding the improvement of the inclusion of museum articles and collections in the Museum Fund of the RF.
A round-table discussion “Provision of State Recording of Museum Values with the Help of Automated Museum Systems”, a master-class “Practice, Solution of Issues of Accounting and Storage of Museum Values (Exchange of Experience, Answers to Questions)” and consultations of experts will take place within the framework of this seminar.
