On October 13, the teaching staff and pupils of the school ¹ 2 in the village of Suda in the Cherepovets district gave a hearty welcome to the employees of the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve who presented various events to their new friends.
First- and second-formers could learn about the Russian folk games and could play them together with K.V. Gusarina. Third- and fourth-formers were told about the centuries-old history of the Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery and other cloisters of the Belozersk district at the lectures of O.G. Kuzmichyova. N.I. Khrulyova interested pupils of the sixth and eighth forms in the great ascetic of Russia St. Sergius of Radonezh and his disciples who became famous in the Belozersk area. Seventh-formers created a twist bird using a cord and coloured threads at the master-class delivered by L.G. Myakusheva. M.N. Travnikova told fifth-form boys and girls about the image of a woman in fine art. The club of historical reenactment “Tsar’s Stronghold” was presented to the ninth-formers by A.V. Tsvetkov who also demonstrated copies of the arms of the 16th-17th centuries. Everybody could also see the mobile exhibition “Sport in Kirillov”.
The museum employees were pleased with hospitable atmosphere reigning in this school, politeness and discipline of the schoolchildren, professionalism of the teaching staff headed by L.K. Tyurmakov. They were given a letter of acknowledgment of the school principal in which the administration and the teachers noted “high professionalism, a great personal contribution of the employees of the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve to the spiritual and moral education of children and conscientiousness in the arrangement of events within the framework of the program “Museum – to the Vologda region”.
