The 13th Ferapontovo Readings will be held by the Museum of Dionisy’s Frescoes together with the Spiritual and Educational Centre “Northern Thebaid” with the assistance of the OJSC “Severstal” from October 20 to 22, 2014. The conference is timed to the 700th anniversary of birth of St. Sergius of
Radonezh. The subject of the event is “History and Culture of the Monasteries of the Russian North”.
Pupils, students, museum employees and professional researchers take part in the readings. The topics of their reports are diverse – from the history of monasteries and churches to the history of the family and its relics. Six best reports of the pupils are determined according to the results of the Ferapontovo Readings. Their authors are awarded prize money. Besides, a book containing the presented researches is to be published.

Applications are accepted till October 15, 2014. A report is to be given during not more than 10 minutes. Its text is to be presented in electronic or printed form during the conference.
