The Mother’s Day is usually celebrated in Russia on the last Sunday of November. As a rule, festive events timed to this holiday take place all over the country in the second half of the month. Initially the Mother’s Day was celebrated only at schools. But then its initiative attracted attention of the public and it became a national officially approved holiday.
The theatre studio “Tale” will perform in the Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery on the threshold of the Mother’s Day, on November 23. Local residents know the young actors thanks to their performances timed to different Orthodox holidays. Tatiana Lyushina is at the head of this studio.
Pupils of the Sunday school in the Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery will appear on the scene and will present a music and poetic composition “Heart for the Virgin”. The event will begin at 1 p.m. Admission is free.
