The Third Easter Festival “Low Sunday” is going on. Two events were held in the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve yesterday.

The Fifth District Ecology Meeting “Friends of Nature” organized by the National Park “Russian North” took place in the conference hall at 11:00. Seven teams participated in it: “Berendei” (the Vognema school), “Friends of Nature” (the Kirillov school), “Blue Bird” (the Nikolsky Torzhok school), a group of young ecologists “Springs” (the Goritsy school), the club “Ecologist” (the Ferapontovo school), the teams of the school forest service “Honey Agarics” (the Alyoshino school), and the public organization “I am a Volunteer” (the Youth Centre “Alfa”).

The event was opened with a small theatricalized performance about relationship of people with the animal world prepared by students of the Vologda Regional Training School of Culture. Then it was the turn of the participants of the meeting to perform. They were estimated by the jury. First they appeared on the scene to present each team – to say its motto and to show a small sketch. In the second block, the participants gave a report on the work done. As a result, the team “Friends of Nature” was named the winner of the ecological meeting. The team of the school forest service “Honey Agarics” claimed a win in the contest of posters on the subject “Water for Life in Wildlife”. Besides, Anastasia Maksimova and Ekaterina Luzinova were recognized as the winners of the photo contest “In Pursuit of Green Picture”. Veronika Elagina was the best in the literary contest.

The concert of the ensemble “Red Snowball Tree” under the direction of Tatiana Klubkova was given at 6 o’clock in the evening. It was titled “And this time is called spring…”. It is not difficult to guess that the leitmotif of the event was good spring spirits. Spectators listened to popular and less famous compositions that gave them positive emotions. Those who knew the lyrics joined in signing. They were lavish of praise and applauded the ensemble.
