The first wedding interactive tour was held in the Museum of town and district history on December 20. This service was introduced not long ago. Museum employees started to work in this project last year. First they gathered all information about wedding traditions in the Kirillov district and then elaborated the program.
Local residents Vitaly and Anastasia Deryagins were the first couple that ordered the new service. The wedding program began with the meeting of the newly-weds and their “glorification” on the museum porch. Then, going along the corridor to the living room, the couple passed several “tests”. In the drawing room, the newly-wedded couple sat down to table symbolizing one of the stages of the ancient wedding. The tour was conducted in the interiors of the dwelling house constructed in the late 19th – early 20th century. At the end of the event, the bride and the bridegroom had their pictures taken in the ancient interiors of the building and the guests were dressed in the 19th-century costumes for the photo session.
