The concert of Kirillov’s soloist Elena Antonova that was held in the Kirillo-Belozersky museum-reserve last Saturday attracted a capacity crowd. All tickets for the new program titled “Queue for Happiness” were sold out beforehand.
It goes without saying that the matter concerned exactly happiness on that day, its different forms and kinds. Elena Antonova told about it not only in songs, but also poems. The program included only new songs, that was why spectators couldn’t join in them, but they had a chance to listen to the meaning of the words. The words were not simple – everybody could listen to something close and understandable in this or that song. Elena Antonova’s performance was based on it.
The audience thanked the singer with their loud cheers and flowers. At the end of the concert, they came to her and said that they admired her voice and found peace of mind at her concert. They thanked Elena Antonova and asked when the next concert would take place.
She also spoke well of the people who attended the event: “The spectators were great! I didn’t even expect that they would take all these songs and poems in such a way. I certainly hoped at heart to get everybody’s attention. This program was written by Sergey Belyashov a year ago. We changed it several times adding or removing this or that song from the list. As a result, everything has been formed into a single block”.
Elena Antonova is very popular with local residents – they are pleased to go to her concerts. Besides, she is a member of the Cossack Ensemble “Silver Horseshoe” that often performs in other cities of the Vologda region.
