Employees of the Kirillo-Belozersky museum-reserve – Lyudmila Terebova, Olga Silina and Yana Shemyakova – took part in the workshop in the regional capital. It was held by Roger McCann, director of NFA International Arts and Culture, teacher and expert in the sphere of international cultural cooperation. He had already given seminars in the CIS countries and Asia.

This workshop included a lecture, presentations and trainings. The participants considered issues of management of cultural organizations, planning, marketing, producing, and development of projects in the field of culture, entrepreneurship, fundraising, festival and event management.

All participants of the event were united into small groups of 5-6 people and elaborated a concept of the festival that could be staged in the region all together. During the discussion, they shared experience of their work on the organization of similar events.

Estimating the presented projects, Roger McCann noted that all of them could be implemented. The British specialist also added that cooperation of people in different spheres of culture could become an important resource for it: “You have united in groups on a casual basis and have created good projects. In future you will be also able to work together. It will give other results in comparison with those that you have today”. Analyzing their success, errors and knowledge gained during the workshop, the participants who had experience in the organization of large events, could point out mistakes in their activity and methods of their correction in future.

The seminar was concluded with a presentation of Olga Lukinova, public relations officer in the Moscow Higher School of Social and Economic Sciences. It was about the most efficient instruments of work with the audience in the social networking sites and the strategy of work of cultural organization in the social media.
