Museum employees resumed their work with schools and kindergartens of the Kirillov district within the framework of the program “Travelling museum” in the new school year. They went to three villages – Volokoslavinskoye, Goritsy and Talitsy.
N.V. Petrova held the event “Russian folk games” for the first-formers and A.N. Repina gave the lecture about the Volga-Baltic Sea Waterway “The Main Waterway” for fourth-form boys and girls in the Goritsy elementary school. This lecture continued a cycle of lessons about the native region.
Employees of the Department of Visitor Relations and the Exhibition and Exposition Department visited the kindergarten and the primary school in Volokoslavinskoye. Children of the kindergarten made a tour of the land of Russian fairy tales together with A.N. Kalikina. N.S. Gostinshchikova told pupils about the images of Jesus Christ in the church art and K.V. Gusarina - about great Belozersk saints Ferapont and Martinian.
The mobile exhibition “Folk Doll” was presented in the home for senior and disabled citizens and in the secondary school of Talitsy. N.V. Nevzorova and T.V. Usova told about different kinds of rag-dolls and methods of their making. The museum employees delivered a master-class “Patterned belt” in the home for senior and disabled citizens, telling about this important attribute of peasant clothing.
