The exhibition “Military Valour of Centuries” was held in the Kirillo-Belozersky museum-reserve till last week. It was opened in early June during the festival of historical reenactment “Kirillo-Belozersky Siege” and was housed in the Vologda Tower. This display was organized by the Tula City Youth Club of Historical Reenactment and Fencing.
During summer, visitors could see the reconstructed armour and arms of Russian and foreign warriors of the 14th – 17th centuries. They were made on the model of archeological funds and articles kept in different museums: the State Historical Museum, the Armoury Chamber, the Hermitage, the Kulikovo Field and the expositions in Europe. These sets of armour were tested during festivals of historical reenactment, spear running and mass battles.
Over 3000 people went to see this exhibition.
