Two icons from the collection of the Kirillo-Belozersky museum-reserve that had been presented at one of the exhibitions in the Moscow Kremlin Museums were retuned to Kirillov.
It is worth reminding that the above-mentioned display was opened in the One-Pillar Chamber of the Patriarch’s Palace in late March and was about the reign of Grand Prince of all Rus Ivan III. Over 40 thousand people have visited it.
Soon the Kirillo-Belozersky museum-reserve will take part in one more exhibition organized by the Vologda State Museum-Preserve. It will be held within the framework of the project titled “Folk Pictures are the View of Motherland” – the winner of the 9th grant competition “Changing Museum in a Changing World”. Opening of the new display is scheduled for September. It will take place in the South-Western tower of the Vologda Kremlin. Visitors will be able to see folk pictures from the collections of seven museums of the Vologda region, including 12 engravings from the collection of the Kirillo-Belozersky museum-reserve.
