Employees of the Kirillo-Belozersky museum-reserve went to Ferapontovo to work with children of “School of Dionisy”. People’s Artist of Russia Marina Vasilieva gave a lecture “Miracles Made of Clay”. Boys and girls learnt about the process of earthenware making. People of any age are interested in this subject. Museum employee N.V. Nevzorova held the playing program “Magic Box” during the course of which the pupils got acquainted with ancient folk games.
It is worth reminding that the program “School of Dionisy” intended for groups of different age (including family groups) has been implemented since 1998. Its objective is to help people in the study of history, culture and artistic heritage of the Russian North on the basis of the monuments and the collections of the Kirillo-Belozersky museum-reserve, the Museum of Dionisy’s Frescoes, the sites of historical and natural heritage located in the National Park “Russian North”. This program includes tours, lectures, lessons, master-classes of the historical and cultural and regional direction. M.S. Serebryakova, head of the school, worked out the system of three-year courses. Employees of the Museum of Dionisy’s Frescoes are participating in its implementation.
