On July 9, participants and guests of the Fourth Festival of Young European Cinema “VOICES” which was held in Vologda from July 5 to 9 went to see the Museum of Dionisy’s Frescoes. Visits of the festival participants have become a good summer tradition. Members of the jury have come to the museum this year: Stephan Laudyn, Director of the Warsaw International Film Festival; Béla Tarr, Hungarian film director; Olivia Magnani, Italian actress who played the leading role in Paolo Sorrentino’s film “The Consequences of Love” that took part in the competition program of the Cannes Film Festival; Eriq Ebouaney, famous French actor starring in such films as “Kingdom of Heaven” (2005), “Transporter 3” (2008), “Black Gold” (2011).
A tour of the Nativity of the Virgin Cathedral was conducted for the guests. Representatives of modern European cinema saw the masterpiece of Old Russian painting. It is worth noting though the Museum of Dionisy’s Frescoes is located quite far from large cities, it is involved in the European cultural life and cinema art is the most important aspect of it at present.
