The Museum of Dionisy’s Frescoes invites you to get to the atmosphere of the past centuries again. The “Ilyinsky Festival” will take place in the museum complex “Tsypino” (in the outskirts of Ferapontovo) on August 3, 2013. It will begin at noon.
Guests will be able see scenes from the life of people of the Tsypino village that existed till the early 20th century, to see how young creative people had a rest and to listen to ancient romances.
The program of the festival will include: launching of the boat on Ilyinsky Lake; an exhibition of works of smith N.V. Mitin, honorary freeman of Kirillov, master of folk artistic crafts of the Vologda region; a show of soap bubbles; performances of folklore groups from Kirillov and Cherepoevts; master-classes in pottery, birth bark weaving, lace-making, smithcraft, and boat-making. Everybody who wants will be able to visit the Church of St. Prophet Elijah.
Please, note that two contests will be held during the holiday: for the best home-made jam and a photo contest for the best bunch of wildflowers and cultivated flowers. Winners will be awarded prizes: a hand blender, kitchen scale, a home fountain.
