Various lessons are conducted for pupils in the museum within the framework of the program “Hurrah! We have vacation!” But master-classes in iris folding are still the most popular among them. Iris folding is a paper craft technique that involves folding strips of coloured paper in such a way to form a design.
13 master-classes were delivered by the museum employees for kids attending the summer camps of the town and district in June. The children made post cards used for decoration of photo albums, book covers, and photo frames. This technique gives a 3D-effect to the depiction and so the works are unusual.
Along with the Kirillov’s pupils, boys and girls of the Vashki district participate in the master-classes. They have taken part in them twice this week. Besides, tours were conducted for them in the course of which they got acquainted with the architectural ensemble and the history of the ancient monastery.
