The monthly colour newspaper “The Art Newspaper Russia” reporting about world art news in Russian published the ranking of attendance of museums and exhibitions in its May issue.
The exhibition “Iconostasis of the Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery” which had been held in the Moscow Kremlin Museums from June 15 to August 26, 2012, occupied 3rd place in the section “Ten best exhibitions of medieval art”. According to the report, 93 thousand people (almost 1,5 thousand visitors every day) admired the icons from the collection of the Kirillo-Belozersky museum-reserve within two months and a half.
The exhibitions staged in the museums of Florence and Barcelona – “Golden Flashes” and “Catalonia 1400. The International Gothic Festival” - took the first and second places in the ranking. The other places were occupied by the museums of the USA. The exhibition “Nikolaus Gerhaert – Medieval Sculptor” staged in Frankfurt (Germany) was ranked 10th.
