Final events of the Second Easter Festival “Low Sunday” were held in the Kirillo-Belozersky museum-reserve on the International Museum Day celebrated on May 18. The group of the Centre of Creative Activity for Children and Youth performed in the conference hall in the afternoon. Children presented a small theatrical play about friendship and recited passages from the Russian writers.

Master-classes - “Magic clay”, “Pottery”, “A trip to the world of ceramics”- were delivered by Marina Vasilieva in the Doll’s House during the day.

The holiday was concluded with the All-Russian action “Night at the Museum 2013”. The bell tower and the monk’s cell were open for visitors in the evening. Soloists of the Governor Orchestra of Folk Instruments (Cherepovets) gave a concert in the conference hall.

The story about the origin of Russian folk instruments and wonderful live music captivated the audience. Professionalism with which the musicians could perform any composition – from American jazz to Russian folk songs - certainly deserved admiration. Besides, Svetlana Kolesnikova, soloist of the Chamber Orchestra of the Vologda Regional Philharmonic Society named after V.A. Gavrilin, presented a fragment of the opera “Silva” and sang romances. All performers were hailed with long applause.

It was an interactive program and the spectators took part in the concert answering questions and receiving “medals” for it. As a result, they formed a single “ensemble” that played under the direction of “conductor” Sasha. The girl also acted as a conductor of the Governor Orchestra during some minutes. The musicians were given a standing ovation at the end of the concert program. People took pictures with them and asked to come again.
