The Museum of Dionisy’s Frescoes will join in the All-Russian action “Night at the Museum” on May 18, 2013. It will be open from 18:00 to 22:00 on this day.
You will be able to walk in the museum, to visit the Nativity of the Virgin Cathedral for free and to learn about the famous frescoes created by Dionisy in 1502, to see the exhibition “Lyudmila Lupushor. Painting, Graphic Arts” housed in the Treasury Chamber.
Besides, the following events will be organized for the visitors:
18:00 – the museum lesson in batik painting on the subject “Architecture of the Ferapontov Monastery in decorative and applied arts”;
19:00 - the master-class “Secrets of Cyrillic alphabet”. You will discover the secrets of Cyrillic alphabet, learn to write in the old script and decipher the Cyrillic ornate lettering. You will be able to learn how people used to write in ancient Russia and will also have an opportunity to write your name in the old script.
