An opening ceremony of the exhibition “Keepers of history” dedicated to the memory of Konstantin Sergeevich and Tatiana Vasilievna Tserkovnitskys was held in the Museum of town and district history on Sunday, March 3.
Konstantin Sergeevich Tserkovnitsky, participant of the Great Patriotic War, photo artist of Kirillov, would be 90 on February 28, 2013. And on March 17, we will mark the 5th anniversary of his death. One more memorable date falls between these days: on March 3, we marked the 40th day after the death of Tatiana Vasilievna Tserkovnitskaya, veteran of the education work, honorary freeman of Kirillov.
The new exhibition presents photographs and documents from the family archive of the Tserkovnitskys, photos and pictures of K.S. Tserkovnitsky, articles of everyday town life of the early 20th century which were handed over to the museum from their family house.
Employees of the museum-reserve, teachers of the Vologda Regional Training School of Culture and residents of Kirillov attended the opening ceremony of the display. They remembered Konstantin Sergeevich and Tatiana Vasilievna saying kind words and highly appreciated their contribution to the development of the museum and the town on the whole.
