February 7 was also rich in events. The playing program titled “We have a good time together” was prepared for second-form and third-form boys and girls. It took place in the New Town of the museum. Students of the Vologda Regional Training School of Culture often help museum employees to organize similar events. This program wasn’t an exception. Small visitors of the museum enjoyed jumping, throwing rings, catching wooden fish in the snow drifts using wooden fishing-rods, participating in pillow fights and tug-of-war, and so on.
Eleventh-formers got acquainted with the church art of the 15th-17th centuries on the first floor of the House of Father Superior. Pupils of the icon-painting school of the Moscow Theological Academy located in the Trinity St. Sergius Lavra gave a small presentation for them. By the way, the Moscow Theological Academy is the unique educational institution of this type.
Seventh-form boys and girls visited the Cook-house. People’s Master of Russia Marina Vasilieva showed a puppet play for them telling about pottery. Eighth-formers attended the lecture on the past and the present of the scientific library of the museum.
Pupils of the ninth forms met with Ilya Smirnov, deputy director of the museum. He told them about the museum today and its development prospects.
