Two concerts were held in the museum on January 4. The first one – “Children’s Voices” – started at noon. Pupils who took part in it represented several institutions working with children in Kirillov: the Centre of Children’s Creative Activity, the Art school, the Youth centre “Alfa”, and the District Cultural Centre. They sang and danced, recited poems and showed small sketches. Participants of the concert admitted that they would be glad to organize similar joint events in the museum in future.
Our Vologda’s guest Oksana Ivanova whom many residents of Kirillov knew very well performed in the evening. Her concert attracted a capacity crowd. And nobody was disappointed. Oksana sang songs in Russian, French, and English. Her repertoire includes both modern and folk songs. Besides, she can accompany herself on the guitar. There was loud applause for Oksana at the end of the concert and she sang an encore.
